This designation is contingent on continued participation in an approved outcomes data reporting program and is renewable every three years.

About Dr. Abkin

Dr. Alexander Abkin is board certified by American Board of Surgery since 1997. His area of expertise is minimally invasive weight loss surgery. He has performed over 8,000 bariatric procedures in the past 19 years. Dr. Abkin is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
